DESCRIPTION:THIS TRIP HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR 2023\ndue to potentially hazardous road and trail conditions after the recent torrential rains.\nWe hope to go birding at Sunol next year. \n\n\nSunol Regional Park\nTuesday\, February 21 8:30 AM -12:30 PMGolden Eagles and other raptors\, Rufous-crowned Sparrows\, Dipper\, and Canyon and Rock Wrens are possible.\nNOTE: The park has been impacted by our recent heavy rains. Registration for this trip will not open until two weeks before\, when we may have a better idea of conditions. We will not go to Little Yosemite.\nANY RAIN CANCELS\n\nHike rating: 2 – moderate\nElevation change: Some elevation gain on well-graded paths.\nMeet: Park visitor center at 8:15AM.\nLeader: Steve Taylor\, 925-828-8810Directions: To reach Sunol Regional Park drive South on highway 680. Take the Calavaras off ramp which is about two miles past Bernal. At the bottom of the Calavaras off ramp make a left. Take Calaveras\, about four miles to Geary which will be on your left. Make a left on Geary. Geary dead ends into the park. Meet by the visitor center which will be on your left. There is an entrance fee or you can use your Regional Parks pass. \nThis field trip is limited to 20 participants.
