SUMMARY:MDBA Field Trip -- East Contra Costa County
DESCRIPTION:We will be birding at Big Break/Delta Science Center\, Iron House Sanitary\, and possibly other places in East Contra Costa. This area is usually good for waterfowl\, raptors and some passerines. Dress warmly\, bring lunch and drinks. This trip is appropriate for birders of all experience levels\, including beginners. \nHike Rating: 1-Easy\nElevation change: N/A\nLeaders: Randy Huey 925-518-8439\, Mona Lange 510-414-2959\nMeet: Big Break parking lot in Oakley at 9 AM. \nDirections: Take Highway 4 east toward Stockton/Pittsburg\, after Antioch take right Exit 30 toward CA-160/Sacramento/Rio Vista. Take Exit 1A\, East 18th/Main Street\, turn right at the bottom of the exit onto Main Street\, proceed east a little over 1 mile\, then turn left onto Big Break Road. Turn into Big Break Regional Shoreline/Delta Science Center just past the last houses on the right. \nThis field trip is limited to 12 participants.
