MDAS Field Trip — Jewel Lake

A short walk along Wildcat Creek and around Jewel Lake in Tilden Park. Possible highlights include fall warblers, Red-breasted and Pygmy Nuthatch, Pacific Wren, and maybe an early Varied Thrush.

Directions: Highway 24 to Fish Ranch Road.
Go up the hill 0.7mi and turn Right on Grizzly Peak Blvd.
Follow Grizzly Peak for 4.1mi; turn Right on Muir in 100 yards turn Left on Park Hills.
Watch for signs to “Little Farm” which is near the meeting point.
Continue 0.3 miles, then turn Left on Central Park Rd.
Continue about 1 mile to the meeting point.
